Jewellery Servicing & Cleaning on the Sunshine Coast

Your jewellery does not need to be damaged to need our attention. Servicing and cleaning is preventative care, the regular check that keeps claws tight, stones secure and metal gleaming on the pieces you wear every day.

Our jewellers recommend a service and clean once or twice a year for anything worn daily, such as an engagement ring or a wedding band. Every piece is cared for on site in our Maroochydore workshop, so your jewellery never leaves our hands.

What a Service & Clean Includes

Bring your piece in and our jewellers will inspect it under magnification, then carry out the care it needs. Our ultrasonic cleaner is very effective on gold and diamond jewellery and can be done in a few minutes, while workshop tasks such as claw work, polishing and plating are quoted before we begin.

Why Regular Servicing Matters

Everyday wear slowly loosens claws and dulls the surface of your jewellery, and it happens so gradually that most people never notice. A regular check lets us find a worn claw or a moving stone before it becomes a lost diamond and a far larger repair.

It is the simplest way to protect both the value of your jewellery and the memories held in it.

Looking Their Best for the Big Day

Wedding photographs last a lifetime, and so does the sparkle captured in them. Bring your engagement ring and wedding bands to us before the day for a professional clean, a polish and a claw check, and we will have them looking their absolute best.

The same care suits any occasion worth dressing up for, from anniversaries to family portraits.

Preventative Care for the Jewellery You Wear Every Day

Jewellery servicing and cleaning is quite different to a repair. A repair puts right what has already gone wrong, while a service keeps it from going wrong at all. If your engagement ring has lost its sparkle, your claws feel sharp on a fingertip, or your white gold has begun to look warm rather than bright, those are the everyday signs that a service is due.

At DM Jewellers our onsite workshop in Maroochydore looks after servicing and cleaning for clients across the Sunshine Coast, from Buderim and Mooloolaba through to Noosa and Caloundra. Because the work is done in house by our own jewellers, your pieces are never posted away and turnaround stays quick.

If we find damage that goes beyond routine care, we will show you what we have found and talk you through your options on our repairs and restorations service, or a full remodelling if you would like a fresh design. There is never any pressure, only honest advice from jewellers who have cared for Sunshine Coast jewellery for over 24 years.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • How often should jewellery be serviced?

For anything worn daily, such as an engagement ring or a wedding band, we recommend a service and clean once or twice a year. Pieces worn only on special occasions can go longer between visits, though a check before a big event is always worthwhile.

  • What is the difference between a service and a repair?

Servicing is preventative care for jewellery that is in good order, including cleaning, claw tightening, polishing and a condition check. A repair puts right something that has already broken or worn through. If we spot damage during your service we will explain it and quote before any repair work begins.

  • How long does a service and clean take?

Our ultrasonic cleaner is very effective on gold and diamond jewellery and takes only a few minutes. If your piece needs claw work, polishing or plating, we will inspect it first and let you know the timing before we start. All of it happens in our onsite workshop, so there is no waiting on an offsite jeweller.

  • Can you re-plate white gold?

Yes. White gold is finished with rhodium plating, which slowly wears with daily use and leaves the metal looking warmer and duller than when it was new. Replating restores that bright white finish, and it is a common part of a regular service.

  • Do you service jewellery bought elsewhere?

Yes. Our jewellers service and clean pieces no matter where they were originally purchased. Bring your jewellery in and we will treat it with the same care we give our own designs.

  • How do I arrange a service and clean?

Book a consultation online at a time that suits you, or call our Maroochydore showroom on 07 5475 4037 and we will arrange it for you.
